Worldpay just sponsored the FinTech Hack @ATDC, the technology business incubator’s first FinTech hackathon. Hosted at the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech, the event focused on bringing developers, designers and entrepreneurs together to find innovative solutions to industry problems.
Nearly 100 participants gathered at the ATDC, one as young as 12-years-old. The teams were tasked with using the sponsors’ APIs to create new solutions to industry challenges such as personalization, omni-channel commerce and fraud detection. Developers competed for awards from “Best Use of APIs” with a $4,000 prize to the “Best in Show” award worth a $73,000 prize.Read more >>

The event, sponsored by Worldpay, began with more than 600 developers gathering to compete in one of 10 24-hour challenges for a chance at winning $125K worth of prizes.Our challenge asked developers to use Worldpay’s SecureNet REST API to enhance a customer’s experience when using wearables, location services, context or motion during the shopping experience. The competitors could use any payment features within the API, including Vaulting, Recurring Billing, or any of the 50 user-defined fields that leverage data analytics or business insights.Read more >>
